Unauthenticated account takeover via empty reset tokens
Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Privilege escalation in ScriptsBundle Nokri 1.6.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over any WordPress account. The nokri_reset_password() function accepts an empty reset token and compares it as equal to an empty or unset sb_password_forget_token user-meta value. No authentication or prior reset request is required; targeting an administrator account grants site-administration access.
