CVE-2026-18527Network attack vector

Privilege escalation via legacy GUI session fixation

Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

Session fixation in IBM Administration Runtime Expert 1R1M0 allows remote attackers to execute actions as an authenticated user. The legacy GUI keeps an attacker-known session associated across a target account's authentication instead of issuing an isolated session. Access to the legacy GUI and successful authentication by a target account are required; the attacker then inherits the account's operating-system privileges.
