Unauthenticated SQL injection via field_search location lookup
Published Aug 9, 2026 · Updated Aug 9, 2026
SQL injection in WP Directory Kit before 1.5.5 allows remote attackers to read WordPress database data through field_search. During template_redirect, the location lookup inserts field_search into an SQL statement without sanitizing or escaping it, enabling a timing oracle. The Locations module is enabled by default, but exploitation requires at least one location row; repeated queries can recover database values such as an administrator password hash.
