Unauthenticated contact updates via unchecked REST endpoint
Published Jul 31, 2026 · Updated Jul 31, 2026
Missing authorization in MailerPress 1.5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to update contact details through its REST API. The mailerpress/v1/contact endpoint accepts contact-update requests without a capability check, so it performs writes for unauthenticated callers. No account or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is limited to modifying stored contact details.
