Authenticated policy disclosure via incorrect GraphQL authorization
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Incorrect authorization in GitLab EE 19.1 before 19.1.4 and 19.2 before 19.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to read namespace policy data. The AI Tool Rules GraphQL resolver applies incorrect authorization checks when resolving namespace-scoped queries and returns policy configuration for a namespace the requester cannot access. A valid account and the unspecified conditions described by GitLab are required; the reported consequence is unauthorized policy disclosure only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=19.1 <19.1.4

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
