Stored script execution via unescaped consent message
Published Sep 5, 2026 · Updated Sep 7, 2026
Stored XSS in QuadLayers Social Chat – Click To Chat App Button 8.6.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts. The .qlwapp data-box serializes an insufficiently sanitized consent_message value into JSON that frontend code renders without output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to set the attribute; when auto_open and consent_enabled are yes, the consent box runs the script on page load.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
