CVE-2026-18361Network attack vector

Session takeover via inline SVG datastore rendering

Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026

Stored XSS in DFIR-IRIS iris-web 2.4.26 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser via an SVG upload. The datastore accepts an SVG containing a script and later serves it as image/svg+xml with Content-Disposition set to inline, causing browser execution. The attacker needs an authenticated upload path and a second user to view the stored file; execution in an administrator's session grants application takeover.
