Blocked-account login via incomplete denylist matching
Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026
Authentication bypass in Limit Login Attempts Security before 3.3.5 allows remote authenticated users to access denylisted accounts. The local username denylist compares submitted usernames case-sensitively and omits the account email from matching, so equivalent login identifiers evade the block. Exploitation requires valid credentials for an account on the non-default denylist and grants only that account's existing access.
