Unauthenticated stored XSS via forged upload records
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Stored XSS in WPMU DEV Forminator Forms 1.56.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through forged upload records. Forminator_Core::sanitize_array() skips keys prefixed with select-, while set_field_data() trusts a submitted return flag and persists an unvalidated file_url. No account is required; the script runs when a user views the affected content, enabling browser-context data access or actions.
