Subscriber content deletion via import_zip capability omission
Published Aug 16, 2026 · Updated Aug 16, 2026
Missing authorization in SolaceWP Solace Extra 1.6.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete site content through import_zip. The action-import-zip AJAX handler accepts a nonce exposed on every admin page, but import_zip performs no capability check before clearing menus, widgets, theme modifications, and Elementor templates or starting a demo import. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to obtain the nonce; successful requests destroy or replace site configuration and content without granting code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
