Code execution via OPJ parser out-of-bounds write
Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Origin Viewer 9.9.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code when a target opens a crafted OPJ file. The OPJ parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing it, allowing a write past the end of an allocated data structure. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs code with the privileges of the logged-in user.
