Code execution via gpsd NMEA buffer overflow

Buffer overflow in gpsd in Sony XAV-9500ES 3.02.00 allows physically present attackers to execute code via crafted NMEA data. The gpsd daemon copies attacker-controlled NMEA input into a fixed-length buffer without validating its length, causing an overflow during NMEA handling. Exploitation requires physical presence and no authentication, and the published advisory bounds code execution to the gpsd daemon context and notes that chaining with other vulnerabilities may be required.
