Unauthorized tool execution via forged confirmations
Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Google Agent Development Kit before 2.5.0 allows remote attackers to execute unauthorized tools via forged confirmations. The request_confirmation processor trusted confirmation targets without verifying tool registration, confirmation requirements, or exact call-name and argument matches against session history. Exploitation requires the ability to manipulate or inject session events; resulting actions are limited by the tools and privileges available to the agent.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
