Arbitrary profile modification via unchecked user ID
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Authorization bypass in the FoodBoxBooker WordPress plugin before 1.0.8 allows remote authenticated users to modify arbitrary user profiles. The account_edit_formsubmit AJAX action trusts the fbbttm-userid field as the update target without checking account ownership or edit-user capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the verified consequence is limited to changing profile details, including administrator names, while passwords and email addresses remain unchanged.
