Stored XSS via unescaped dropdown page names

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Stored XSS in Concrete CMS 9.0.0 through 9.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to run script through dropdown child page names. The Top Navigation Bar block writes child page names into dropdown markup without HTML escaping, so stored markup executes when the dropdown opens. Page-creation or rename privileges are required; the script runs in the Concrete CMS origin with the viewer's privileges and can read same-origin content or perform available actions.
