Authenticated sensitive-data read via unvalidated path input
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Path traversal in Navigator on IBMi 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive information. The component improperly validates attacker-controlled path input, but IBM does not identify the request handler or disclose how a path escapes its intended directory. A valid Navigator session is required, and the reported consequence is limited to information reads without modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
