CVE-2026-18097

Password disclosure via unredacted trace logging

Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026

Information disclosure in IBM Db2 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.5 allows local users to read plaintext passwords. The federated server writes passwords without redaction into trace files; IBM has not disclosed the triggering operation or replication steps. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access and exposure of a generated trace file, and the reported consequence is limited to credential disclosure.
