Administrator account creation via profile-field mass assignment
Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
Improper privilege management in WPDeveloper Essential Addons for Elementor before 6.7.2 allows remote attackers to create administrator accounts. The Login/Register Form derives custom profile keys from field labels and merges submitted values into wp_insert_user data without excluding the reserved role key. The registration form must be publicly reachable and contain a custom profile field whose label maps to role; successful exploitation grants full WordPress administrator access.
