Restricted content disclosure via omitted REST checks
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Missing authorization in GM-Alex User Access Manager before 2.3.15 allows remote attackers to read restricted WordPress content via REST requests. The plugin's REST request path omits the group-based read-access filtering enforced for front-end requests and returns protected post objects. No authentication or non-default configuration is required; a reachable WordPress REST API exposes titles, excerpts, content, and metadata for restricted objects.
