Root shell access via default SSH credentials
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Default credentials in the Dropbear SSH service in Ziroom ZHOME A0101 1.0.1.0 allow remote attackers to obtain a root shell. The factory configuration enables Dropbear on TCP port 1022 with root login and password authentication, accepting a documented default root credential. Network access to the nonstandard SSH port is required; successful authentication grants privileged command execution and configuration access on the gateway.
