Authenticated memory disclosure via unchecked character length

Buffer over-read in PostgreSQL core server before 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 allows remote authenticated users to read server memory. The ascii() SQL function trusts the leading byte of invalidly encoded text as the character length without confirming that the allocation contains that many bytes. A valid database login and crafted text value are required; each call can disclose up to three bytes beyond the specific allocation.
