CVE-2026-18022Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Arbitrary code execution via unchecked IVFFlat sizing

Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026

Integer wraparound in pgvector before 0.8.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code during IVFFlat index creation. ElkanKmeans multiplies and sums attacker-influenced allocation dimensions without overflow checks, underallocating buffers used by clustering writes. Exploitation requires permission to create an IVFFlat index on a 32-bit PostgreSQL host; 64-bit systems are not affected.
