Authenticated command execution via unfiltered macType logging
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Command injection in Ziroom ZHOME A0101 1.0.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via an HTTP POST request. The macAddrClone function in luci\controller\api\zrMacClone.lua passes the unfiltered macType request value to logger, where shell metacharacters are interpreted as commands. Login access to the router management interface is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the web service process privileges.
