Unauthenticated account access via static registration marker
Published Feb 26, 2026 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Authentication bypass in WPEverest User Registration & Membership 5.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to access new user accounts. The register_member function treats the static urm_user_just_created user-meta marker as sufficient proof that a membership registration may be logged in instead of binding the marker to the created account and request. Exploitation requires a newly registered account whose marker remains set; successful requests establish that account's WordPress session without its credentials.
