Code execution via globally disabled certificate verification
Published Feb 2, 2026 · Updated Feb 2, 2026
Improper certificate validation in Amazon SageMaker Python SDK v3 before 3.1.1 and v2 before 2.256.0 allows attackers to substitute HTTPS content. Importing a Triton Python model globally disables certificate verification in the backend, causing every HTTPS connection to accept invalid or self-signed certificates. Attackers must intercept the affected traffic and can replace downloaded models or dependencies, leading to code execution in the Triton container.
