Script injection via malicious extension policy bypass
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
Insufficient extension policy enforcement in Google Chrome before 151.0.7922.72 allows remote attackers to inject scripts or HTML. Google identifies the Extensions component but has not disclosed which policy check accepts the crafted extension or how that check fails. Exploitation requires a user to install the malicious extension; successful abuse produces universal cross-site scripting in browser content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
