Authenticated command execution via RMC input injection
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
OS command injection in RMC in IBM operating-system releases 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. Resource Monitoring and Control passes untrusted special command elements to an operating-system command without neutralization; IBM has not disclosed the vulnerable interface or parameter. Authenticated RMC access is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the affected service's authority.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
