Out-of-bounds read in the MP3 extractor in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, 9, and 10 allows local users to crash it or read heap data via a crafted file. In extract_performers_tags, an unchecked pos-plus-offset value exceeds csize, underflows the remaining-length calculation, and causes g_convert to scan past the heap buffer for a null byte. Processing an attacker-supplied MP3 with ID3v2.4 performer tags is required; the read causes a SIGSEGV on unmapped memory or exposes visible heap data, with no integrity impact reported.
