CVE-2026-17617Network attack vector

Authenticated SSRF via unrestricted custom-resource URLs

Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

SSRF in IBM Application Gateway Operator 22.2 through 26.06 allows remote authenticated users to send requests via custom-resource URLs. The operator issues outbound HTTPS requests for web configuration sources and OIDC discovery endpoints without restricting destination hosts. The attack requires permission to create or modify IBMApplicationGateway resources; standard manifests block link-local metadata, while OLM deployments lack that egress policy unless separately applied.
