CVE-2026-17593Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Authenticated code execution via unsafe realm identifiers

Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026

Unsafe reflection in Sonatype Nexus Repository 2.8.0 through 3.94.x allows remote authenticated users to execute code via realm identifiers. The internal configuration API accepts identifiers outside the registered-realm set, persists them, and passes them to a legacy realm-loading path that instantiates selected classes. An account needs nexus:settings:update in version 3 or nexus:settings in version 2; a crafted persistent entry can execute inside the repository process or lock out authentication after a realm reload.
