Unauthenticated settings modification via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Authorization bypass in Formula Agile's privacy plugin 3.3.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify settings through AJAX. The map_missing_cookie_shield and map_check_consent_mode_status AJAX handlers accept unauthenticated requests and write supplied state and error values into the plugin settings key without an authorization check. The documented consequence is modification of Cookie Shield and Consent Mode diagnostic configuration, with no WordPress account or user interaction required.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
