SQL injection via E-string backslash breakout
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
SQL injection in PHP ext-pgsql allows remote attackers to read or modify PostgreSQL data through crafted function parameters. php_pgsql_convert() uses PQescapeStringConn() and then wraps its output in an E-string literal, leaving a backslash able to escape the first doubled quote. Applications using affected pg_insert(), pg_update(), pg_select(), or pg_delete() calls are exposed when attacker-controlled values reach them.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
