CVE-2026-17535Hinoki check available

Process crash via malformed NTFS parser structures

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026

Denial of service in Rapid7 Velociraptor before 0.77.2 allows local users to crash the process via crafted NTFS disk images. The go-ntfs parser reads past truncated run-list and LZNT1 buffers, accepts a zero compression-unit size, and permits excessive decompression output. Exposure requires dead-disk mode to ingest an attacker-supplied NTFS volume; ordinary live-filesystem parsing limits that opportunity.
