Script execution via unsanitized select option content
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Cross-site scripting in bluzky nice-select2 before 2.4.1 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through crafted select content. The dropdown renderer copies option display content into generated current-value and list-item DOM nodes as HTML without sanitization. A victim must view or interact with a page whose select content is attacker-controlled; the script then runs within that page's browser origin.
