Arbitrary plugin option updates via CSRF
Published Aug 29, 2026 · Updated Aug 29, 2026
CSRF in Tribulant Software Newsletters before 4.17 allows remote attackers to overwrite plugin settings through a logged-in administrator. The API settings save path accepts every submitted parameter without a nonce or capability check and writes each value into plugin options. Exploitation requires an administrator to submit a forged request; the attacker can replace API credentials and other plugin settings.
