Stored script execution via post-validation URL decoding
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Stored XSS in Independent Insights LLC Independent Analytics 2.15.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through 404 URLs. The get_cell_content() function calls urldecode() after esc_url(), reconstructing percent-encoded markup that wp_kses_post() permits when it uses allowed img and data-* attributes. The public /iawp/search REST route accepts unauthenticated requests with a signature exposed in public page HTML, and the payload runs when a user opens the poisoned 404 report entry.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
