Subscriber-to-store-manager escalation via unchecked profile field
Published Feb 15, 2026 · Updated Feb 15, 2026
Privilege escalation in Ecwid Ecommerce Shopping Cart 7.0.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to gain store manager access. The save_custom_user_profile_fields function accepts the ec_store_admin_access profile field without checking the caller's capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to assign store manager privileges, exposing store administration functions to the attacker's account.
