Unauthenticated service interruption via out-of-bounds write
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in IBM operating-system releases 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through a network request. The IBM SDK Java Technology Edition and IBM Runtime Environment Java perform an improper buffer write, but IBM has not disclosed the component, input path, or boundary-crossing operation. No authentication or user interaction is required; IBM has not specified whether the resulting denial of service is a hang, crash, or another failure mode.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
