A buffer overflow in IBM AIX 7.2 and 7.3 and PowerVM VIOS 4.1 allows local users to execute arbitrary code. IBM identifies bos.mp64 as the affected fileset but has not published the vulnerable routine, input, or operation that overruns the buffer. Local access is required; no prior privileges or user interaction are required, and successful exploitation executes attacker-controlled code across a security boundary.
