CVE-2026-1742Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root command execution via malicious OpenVPN upload

Published Feb 2, 2026 · Updated Feb 2, 2026

Unrestricted file upload in EFM Networks ipTIME A8004T 14.18.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root via OpenVPN. The commit_vpncli_file_upload handler writes supplied configuration content into the OpenVPN directory without validating dangerous directives, which OpenVPN can execute through an up directive. The published CVSS assessments require high privileges, although the public technical report asserts that direct /cgi/ routing bypasses session validation.
