Authentication bypass in EFM Networks ipTIME A8004T 14.18.2 allows remote attackers to reset administrator credentials without a session. The timepro.cgi ftext handler trusts httpcon_check_session_url, which requires authentication only for URLs beginning with /sess-bin/ and skips httpcon_auth for /cgi/timepro.cgi. Network access to the HTTP management interface and a solved CAPTCHA are required; a successful reset grants administrator access and locks out the prior administrator.
