Arbitrary file upload via substring extension check
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Skirrid Systems OS DataHub Maps 1.8.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary files. OS_DataHub_Maps_Admin::add_file_and_ext searches the entire filename for an allowed extension substring instead of comparing its final extension. Author-level WordPress access is required; a crafted double-extension upload can place attacker-controlled content on the server, with code execution dependent on server handling.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
