Unauthenticated service interruption via improper size validation
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Resource exhaustion in IBM's Power operating system Debug Server 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via oversized input. The server accepts an attacker-controlled size without enforcing an allocation limit, but IBM has not disclosed the affected request or allocation path. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient; the documented impact is limited to denial of service, and the exact failure mode and recovery requirements remain undisclosed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
