Unauthenticated web service crash via stack overwrite
Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026
Stack-based out-of-bounds write in TP-Link TL-MR6400 v7 before 1.9.0 Build 260714 allows remote attackers to crash the web service. The login request handler writes beyond a stack buffer while parsing a specially crafted malformed HTTP request. Exploitation requires unauthenticated access from an adjacent network and temporarily removes access to the router's web management interface until the service recovers.
