CVE-2026-17248Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via OS command injection

Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026

OS command injection in IBM operating system releases 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt Debug Server. The Debug Server passes externally influenced data to an OS command without properly neutralizing special elements; IBM has not identified the request field or code locus. Authentication is required, and IBM reports denial of service with low integrity impact but no confidentiality impact.
