CVE-2026-17206Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via host-server out-of-bounds write

Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026

Buffer overflow in IBMi 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through an affected host server. IBM has not disclosed the host service, request, input field, or routine that performs the out-of-bounds write. Exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction but has high attack complexity; successful exploitation executes code in the server context.
