Unauthenticated code execution via size computation overflow
Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Integer overflow in IBM AIX 7.2 and 7.3 and PowerVM VIOS 4.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. IBM has not identified the component or size calculation that overflows when processing untrusted network input. Network access without credentials is sufficient, and successful exploitation runs code with the privileges of the affected service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
