Unauthenticated code execution via stack buffer overflow
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in IBM’s Power operating system 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. IBM has not disclosed the affected Debug Server parser, request field, or copy operation that writes beyond the stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation executes code in the Debug Server process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
