Authenticated file deletion via path traversal
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Path traversal in Digital Certificate Manager on IBM's operating system releases 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote authenticated users to delete files. IBM identifies DCM as the affected component but does not disclose the request handler, pathname field, or validation failure that permits traversal. Exploitation requires high privileges and no user interaction; successful requests delete files and can interrupt dependent services.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
