Unauthenticated content disclosure and publication via REST
Published Aug 9, 2026 · Updated Aug 9, 2026
Missing authorization in Mediavine Create before 2.5.4 allows remote attackers to read and publish unpublished cards via a REST route. The public creations endpoint accepts a sequential card ID without a permission callback, returns the full card row, and changes its stored state to published. The plugin must be active and an unpublished card must exist; no account, cookie, or nonce is required, and one request exposes the card and makes it public.
